MacKenzie partnered with the State of MI & other entities to win several awards for this challenging contract. The American Public Works Assoc. deemed it the Project of the Year. It was a high profile project due to the location in the heart of downtown Lansing with the State Capital and legislators working in this area. Our crews made critical design changes to the contract as needed in order to preserve historic buildings, modify methods of construction for cost savings, & handle traffic flow. With substantial work added, they still completed 3 mos. ahead of schedule.
